Generative AI dominates this age. Large Language Models (LLMs) are built and trained using thousands of GPUs and whole towns-worth of electrical power and water.

But perhaps we rushed right past a more sustainable paradigm - Do It Yourself (DIY), small scale, diverse, and exploratory research. More art, less industrialization.
